Welcome to The Stay-Alives’ official band website
The Stay-Alives are a high energy melodic alt punk trio from Chicago, IL. Founded in 2013 the band has produced shows at various venues in town including The Mutiny, The Division Street Bar and Grill, The Elbo Room, Debonair, Liars Club, as well as block parties and house parties. With influences ranging from Green Day and Alkaline Trio to the Ramones and Teenage Bottlerocket, their simple and direct blend of hard hitting vocals and “wall of sound” guitar complimented by a driving rhythm section make for a fun and energetic display of punk rock.
Coming soon: Stay Drei, The Stay-Alives’ first full-length album! Other original releases include two EPs thus far including Survival Tips and Alive and Kicking. Survival Tips was recorded and mixed at 2 Time Studios and released on May 23, 2014 and is available on iTunes and Google Play. The final track of Survival Tips, Misery Loves Company, was also used for their debut music video, and is available on YouTube. Their follow up Alive and Kicking was recorded and mixed at Joe Quality Studios and released on September 21, 2015. Another EP is in the works along with plenty of other original material.
Aside from original music The Stay-Alives play a wide range of covers including punk and pop punk favorites as well as some retuned and modified pop songs. After receiving The Stay-Alives treatment some are nearly unrecognizable and all the more awesome as a result.
